Important Update on Footwear Availability

Due to the new BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) Quality Control Orders (QCOs), there have been significant disruptions in the import and availability of global footwear brands in India. The QCOs now mandate that all footwear – including leather, rubber, and other materials – must be manufactured in BIS-certified factories.

This has especially affected imports from China and Vietnam, where many factories are either still in the process of obtaining BIS certification or are facing delays. As a result:

• No new stocks of popular international brands have been received in over a year.

• We are currently uncertain about the timeline for when these brands will resume supply in India.

• At TheTriWorld, we only work with authorized distributors, and hence, are directly impacted by this regulation.
